This referencing guide is designed to provide support for all referencing requirements at the University of Manchester

Introduction

The University of Manchester Library provides expert support to students, staff and researchers in all things referencing. 

Our face to face and online workshops cover a range of topics including how to effectively incorporate references into your writing, and getting started using both EndNote Desktop and EndNote Online referencing software. 

In addition to workshops, you can access a comprehensive range of online interactive guides and resources to answer any questions that you have around how to cite sources in your coursework and how to use referencing software.

Advanced Searching and Systematic Reviews

The Library offers expert guidance and resources to support students, staff and researchers who require help with advanced database searching, particularly medical and health sciences resources. This service includes support for those conducting systematic reviews as part of their research.

Drop-ins give you the chance to ask any questions you may have and get support and guidance on a number of different topics.
