Applications of Immersive Technology in Architecture, Engineering and Construction : A Handbook

This edited volume explores the role of immersive technologies—such as virtual, augmented, and mixed reality—across the lifecycle of built environment projects in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) sector. It addresses a gap in current literature by examining how these tools are applied from design through to end-of-life phases, highlighting their potential to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and support digital transformation in line with Industry 4.0. The book also discusses the benefits, challenges, and future directions of immersive technology adoption in AEC contexts.
