Workshops

Researcher IT Training Service
IT Services offer a number of courses to UoM researchers (staff + PGR). This covers a wide range of software applications including: Foundation courses, Programming Techniques, FORTRAN, MATLAB and Programming GPUs. Please note that some courses are moderated, in which case you will receive an email with further instructions.
My Research Essentials
My Research Essentials programme of workshops and information sessions are designed to support development for researchers at all career stages. Topics covered include; research data management, research process, dissemination of research and raising your research profile.

An initiative funded by the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Manchester. The website is an excellent resource for information on social statistics, providing descriptions of the key methods such as Survey & Statistical Methods and the relevant supporting resources.
FBM PGR Statistics support
There are many options available for statistical guidance for PGRs and junior researchers in the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health, from drop-in clinics to formal courses.

Centrally-hosted and administered, resilient and backed-up data storage for researchers. This storage service is recommended by University of Manchester Research Data Management (RDM) Service as it satisfies the Research Council UK RDM guidelines.
