Research Metrics: Scite.ai

Scite

Scite is a research discovery and analysis platform that can help you to discover and analyse relevant research publications. It can also provide you with indicators as to how and why papers receive citations (through the Smart Citations feature).

Smart Citations provide additional context around the citations a publication has received by indicating whether these offer supporting or contrasting evidence for a particular claim. This can be useful in helping you to assess the publication landscape of your chosen research topic.

Scite also offers a prompt style “Assistant” interface which allows you to ask simple questions and get answers collated from the full-texts of millions of research articles.

Scite is provided by a Brooklyn-based start-up and is funded in part by the U.S. National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.

Scite can be freely accessed from any web browser. In order to gain access to the premium features (which include unlimited prompts and access to dashboard features) you will need to sign up for an account with your University of Manchester email address.
