
German Studies Review, the scholarly journal of the German Studies Association, is published three times each year, in February, May, and October. The journal publishes articles and book reviews in history, literature, culture studies, political science, as well as interdisciplinary topics relating to the German-speaking areas of Europe encompassing primarily, but not exclusively, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Articles and reviews are published in English or German. Each issue contains at least seven articles and sixty book reviews. German Studies Review is a journal of first publication, and all submissions are peer-reviewed. German Studies Review is included in Historical Abstracts, Current Contents, Current Geographical Publications, and other indices, and is assigned the acronym GerSR for the MLA International Bibliography. The German Quarterly is a refereed journal that publishes scholarship on all aspects and periods of German-language literature and culture, including comparative and interdisciplinary approaches. Each issue contains articles that intervene into theoretical, methodological, and critical debates in German studies, along with book reviews addressing the latest work in the field. The journal also regularly publishes special issues and forums on recent developments in the profession and scholarly topics of broad significance (Provided by Publisher).
German Life and Letters publishes across the full breadth of German Studies, including literature, film, intellectual and political history, music, art, and cultural studies. The journal comprises four peer-reviewed issues a year, with articles in English and German, alternating regular numbers with special numbers with a thematic focus.
