What is EndNote online?

The University's EndNote site license also includes access to EndNote online. It has less functionality than the desktop product, but it's free and web-based, so you can access your records from anywhere with an internet connection.

It is available to all University of Manchester students, faculty and staff and is accessible wherever there is Internet access.

  • EndNote online can be used to store and organise your references.
  • EndNote online holds a maximum of 50,000 records, but records can easily be transferred between your EndNote library on a PC/laptop and EndNote online.
  • Undergraduates will find it easy to get started with EndNote online, and a reference list for an essay or project can be generated with minimal training.
