- British Comparative Literature Association promotes the scholarly study of literature without confinement to national or linguistic boundaries, and in relation to other disciplines. The BCLA's primary interests are in literature, the contexts of literature and the interaction between literatures. Membership is open to academic members of universities and other institutions of higher learning as well as to graduate students and to other persons with appropriate scholarly interests.
